About
Neil has been making cards for his family and friends for most of his life and they've been saying for years:
"Your cards are fantastic, you really should sell them, I'd buy one".
Now armed with a laser cutter he is doing just that – and hopes you like them as much as his friends all claim to!
His designs are... well... unconventional. Many don't open in the usual fashion, few open-up completely and on almost none of them can you write a message on the inside. For some designs, working out how to 'open' the card is part of the fun - a free puzzle so to speak.
Neil is a 3D designer and has spent his career worked in architecture, exhibitions, engineering and graphic design. He currently works as a freelance graphic designer – and avant garde card maker – based in west Kent.

Neil Pickford CardCraft is ably assisted by the following local firms, all of whom are thoroughly recommended:
• Kent Lasers Ltd supplied and service the fine laser cutter on which all the cards are produced
• Lakeside Printing print all the patterns inside the cards. Card stock is 350gsm and from either 100% recycled or PEFC (Promoting Sustainable Forest Management) sources.
• Spectulise provide and maintain this website and online shop
Some cards make use of 300gsm pearlescent stock rather than printed While this stock is not recycled, it is responsibly sourced and is both acid and chlorine free.
All cards are fully recyclable – not that you'll ever want to dispose of them!
